Neuropedia is the leading global NGO dedicated to advancing neuroscience education, training, and research for medical students, neurosurgeons, neurologists, and neuroscientists.
Through its wide international network of contributors and experts, Neuropedia publishes the latest peer-reviewed neuro-related articles written by medical students and young physicians and shared across all Neuropedia platforms. Beyond publications, Neuropedia serves as a global hub for scientific exchange, professional development, international electives, workshops, and community outreach—empowering the next generation of neuroscience leaders worldwide.
We are now seeking highly motivated university students (Medicine and related health specialties), interns, general practitioners, and residents to join Neuropedia in the following key roles:
1. Head of National Committees
A senior leadership role responsible for supervising, guiding, and supporting all Local Officers within a specific country.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee the performance and progress of LOs across national medical faculties.
- Ensure effective coordination between university teams and the central Neuropedia administration.
- Develop national strategies for scientific writing, activities, and research involvement.
- Lead coordination of national neuroscience events, campaigns, and initiatives.
- Maintain consistent standards and represent Neuropedia at the national level.
2. Local Officer (LO)
The Local Officer is the primary representative of Neuropedia within their institution and plays a crucial role in coordinating academic, scientific, and research activities across three main domains:
. Scientific Article Writing
- Guide contributors in preparing high-quality neuroscience articles.
- Organize and manage writers within the four fields:
Neurosurgery, Neurology, Psychiatry, and Basic Neuroscience. - Ensure timely submission, scientific accuracy, and continuous content improvement.
. Activities & Events
- Launch and coordinate neuroscience-related activities on campus.
- Organize events, awareness campaigns, workshops, seminars, and academic sessions.
- Promote Neuropedia’s mission and enhance scientific engagement within the university community.
. Research Coordination
- Support and manage research-related initiatives.
- Pair students with research opportunities through Neuropedia’s global network.
- Facilitate communication between contributors, organizers, and Neuropedia’s central team.
Core Responsibilities
- Organize and supervise the workflow of organizers and contributors.
- Lead campus-based neuroscience events to increase visibility and engagement.
- Attend regular meetings with the Neuropedia leadership team.
- Ensure high-quality scientific output within their institution.
- Actively participate in Neuropedia conferences, workshops, and initiatives.
3. Head of Activity Officer
A leadership role responsible for overseeing all Neuropedia activities, events, and outreach programs at the national or regional level.
Role Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide LOs and activity teams in planning and executing events.
- Develop annual activity plans aligned with Neuropedia’s global mission.
- Coordinate national and international campaigns, seminars, and workshops.
- Ensure innovation, high standards, and consistency across all Neuropedia activities.
- Strengthen partnerships with universities, student bodies, and medical institutions.
- Provide progress reports and updates to the Neuropedia executive team.
4. Activity Officers
Activity Officers assist in planning, organizing, and executing Neuropedia activities at the university, national, or regional levels.
Role Responsibilities
- Support LOs and the Head of Activity Officer in implementing events and workshops.
- Assist in planning, logistics, outreach, and on-ground execution.
- Collaborate with teams across different institutions to deliver impactful activities.
5. Research Officers
Research Officers play an essential role in advancing Neuropedia’s research mission.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and coordinating research teams.
- Help match students with local and international research opportunities.
- Ensure proper documentation, follow-up, and quality assurance of research projects.
- Support publications, data collection, and research training initiatives.
